Our ANEC club participated in
the annual HAM Field Day event on 22 June 2013.

We set up several radios and antennas in the
parking lot at the Bonnie Doon Stake Center

Below are photos of setting up a 30 foot inverted V antenna.

Tower
Nylon cord was set up in advance for three guy lines.

Tower
The tower consists of 4 foot sections of fiberglass tent poles.
These were purchased from Princess Auto surplus division.

Tower
The guy lines are attached and 4 foot sections
are added to the bottom of the pole.

Tower
The pole is tilted such that two of the guy lines hold the top in position.

Tower
With the two guy lines holding the top, more sections are added to the bottom.

Tower
When part way up, a person is assigned to hold the
third guy line to support the pole in that direction.

Tower
Once the pole is up as high a desired,
the third guy line is tied to the anchor.

Tower
A pulley was mounted at the top to pull up the inverted V antenna.
